Privacy
PMC Index has no accounts. The only sign-in is the optional Twitch connection streamers use to link their channel to their profile. This page lists everything the site records about a visit, and how the ads work.
What we record ourselves
For each page you open we store: the page path, the previous page on this site, the site you came from (hostname only, first page of a visit), whether the device is mobile or desktop, the country of the request, a timestamp, and a random session id that lives in your browser tab and is discarded when the tab closes. It is not linked to your name, game account or IP address.
We set no cookies for this. IP addresses are not stored. These records are added up into daily totals (pages, sessions, countries, referrers) and the individual records are deleted once counted. They are not shared with anyone and are not used to identify you.
Favorites and recently viewed players are kept only in your own browser's local storage and never leave it.
Advertising
Ads on this site are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to show ads based on your interests and to measure them. How Google uses data from sites that show its ads is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites; you can change your ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
If you visit from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, Google's consent message asks before any personalised ads are shown. You can revisit your choice from that message at any time.
If an ad blocker stops Google's ad script, the ad space shows a short note asking you to allow ads instead. That check only looks at whether our ad script ran, happens in your browser, and nothing about it is stored or sent anywhere.
Where the player data comes from
Profile and leaderboard data comes from tarkov.dev's public player database. PMC Index is unofficial and not affiliated with Battlestate Games.
Linking a Twitch channel
Streamers can link their Twitch channel to their profile at /claim/<account id>. Connecting with Twitch requests no permissions: Twitch tells us only your public username and user ID. The one-time login token is discarded right after that and never stored.
While a link is being verified we keep the account id, your Twitch username, display name and user ID, the armband you were asked to equip, and timestamps. Two strictly necessary cookies make the flow work: a 10-minute one during the Twitch sign-in, and one holding a random claim code for up to 7 days. Once verified, the account id, Twitch username and user ID are shown publicly on the profile as its Twitch link.
